HOW TO WIN!

Eligibility for Tri Club Challenge Series and events:
-No relay teams are eligible for Tri Club Challenge Series points.
-Must have 10 or more team members participating to qualify for the prize money in each event.
-Must qualify in at least three events for qualification in the Tri Club Challenge Series Championship at Folsom.

Team and individual points breakdown:
-1/2 point for each finishing club/team participant
-Clubs/Teams with 10-19 finishing participants will receive an extra 10 points
-Clubs/Teams with 20-29 finishing participants will receive an extra 20 points
-Clubs/Teams with 30-39 finishing participants will receive an extra 30 points
-Clubs/Teams with 40-49 finishing participants will receive an extra 40 points

-Top 10 finishers male/female in each Age Group (10 points for 1st, 9 points for 2nd...1 pt for 10th; overall age group results)
-Top 5 finishers male/female in Clydesdale & Athena overall (5 points for 1st, 4 points for 2nd...1 pt for 5th)
-Top 5 finishers male/female in Physically Challenged overall (5 points for 1st, 4 points for 2nd...1 pt for 5th)
-Top 3 finishers male/female in Elite/Pro overall (3 points for 1st, 2 points for 2nd, 1 pt for 3rd)
-Top 3 finishers male/female in Aqua-Bike overall (3 points for 1st, 2 points for 2nd, 1 pt for 3rd)

-1/2 point for tri club volunteers, this will be calculated at the end of year and added to the total points for the championship. (click here to Volunteer as a team)

Team traveling distance points: The Tri Club Challenge will award distance points, on a per team basis, in accordance with the following distances. The distance shall be determined using airline or driving miles from the home city of a club to the location of the Tri Club Challenge event location.
>1000 miles = 30 distance points
999 – 500 miles = 20 distance points
499 – 200 miles = 15 distance points
199 – 101 miles = 10 distance points
100 – 51 miles = 5 distance points
<50 miles = 0 distance point

Tri Club Challenge Championship will be awarded at the Folsom Triathlons: The teams with the most points at the end of the season will take home the grand prize ($1000), a BBQ bash hosted by USA Productions, and bragging rights as the fastest tri club/team around!

Tie Breaker:
If a tie occurs based on the individual team points breakdown (above), the number of finishers shall break a tie and determine the winning team.

Team participation rewards:
Based on the total tri club participation in 2011 at each event, your team will be reward complimentary entries based on the participation at each event.
Total participating athletes = Free entries
6-10 = 1
11-25 = 2
26-35 = 4
36+ = 5
50+ = 6

Participation in the Tri Club Challenge:
Each tri club/team will need to be signed up on Active.com and we will give each team captain a 10% discount code to distribute to your team for registration. Please send us an email regarding your particiapation and we will get you ready for the Challenge, CLICK HERE and email USA Productions. Once you have submitted your information to us your club/team will be ready to get started. If your team is already signed up from last year all you need to do is use the new discount code we distributed to each of the clubs and teams. Ask your club captain or president if you don't have it.
